The Challenge

This January, inspired by the epic Run for Love 3, we're inviting YOU to join the Run for Love team. We’re looking for 100 TRIBE Ambassadors to rally their own tribe and organise an event as part of the TRIBE Run 10K For Love Challenge. Our Mission; To increase awareness of modern slavery with +100 events across the UK and raise £250,000 to set up two new homes for survivors.

We are looking for members of the TRIBE community to be ambassadors to lead a series of TRIBE Run 10K For Love events. This is how it works:

  • Rally your own TRIBE to Run 10K For Love and support our mission
  • You decide the date, meeting point, route and logistics for your event
  • Runners sign up to your event by donating £10 or £25 to your TRIBE Run 10K For Love JustGiving page and receive TRIBE Rewards
  • We send you enough TRIBE bars for all participants and a TRIBE Tech Tee for you

All events will raise funds for TRIBE Freedom Foundation to increase awareness of modern slavery and help to set up two new homes for survivors.

Logistics

Can I choose any date/time to lead the event?
All events should take place in January 2020, between 4th - 31st

What should I think about when finding a location/meeting point for my event?
It's good to think about finding an awesome place that is very accessible and has space to store bags during the run!

How will I communicate the details of my event to my runners?
We recommend setting up a Facebook event to help publicise your run. You should also include all the key details for your run (inc time, meeting place, contact info) on your JustGiving page which is where people will make their registration donation to join the run.

Registration

How do people sign up for my event?
Once you’ve decided on the details for your event you can encourage people to sign up via your own JustGiving page. Here participants will make their registration donation (minimum £10) to TRIBE Freedom Foundation.

How do I set up my JustGiving page?
It takes just five minutes maximum:

  1. Head to: https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/triberun10kforlove
  2. Click the ‘Start fundraising’ button, Select ‘Organised Event’, Scroll down to ‘Add your own’, Add your event name and date etc. e.g. 'TRIBE Run 10K For Love: The Shoreditch Edition'
  3. Once the page is live, head to the ‘Edit your page’ tab to update the page details. You can edit the page photo, title, add your event page URL and any other copy to tailor it to your event! You can follow the template to update your event details as follows:

What do participants receive for entering the TRIBE Run 10K For Love Challenge?
All participants will receive:

  • TRIBE Run 10K For Love Event Entry + TRIBE Run for Love Shoe Tag
  • One TRIBE Bar - distributed by ambassadors on the day
  • Classic TRIBE Tee (£10 Donation) OR TRIBE Jumper (£25 Donation) - to be claimed online with the unique code from TRIBE

How do I know who has signed up for my event?
It’s a good idea to keep track of who has signed up for your event so you can keep them updated with event details and any other updates! You can find out the email addresses of everyone who has donated to your page here.

Just make sure to tell everyone to click the box which says ‘I’m happy to share my contact details with …’ when they complete their registration donation.

TRIBE Product and Merch

How will I receive the TRIBE bars for my event?
We will send out your TRIBE bars to the delivery address you provided, four working days before your event to make sure they arrive in plenty of time. The number of bars will be based on the number of registration donations you have received on your JustGiving page. If you are expecting a large number of late entries who may not be signed up by this point give us a shout and we’ll see what we can do :)

How will participants receive their TRIBE Rewards?
To make sure that everyone receives their free TRIBE tee and/or TRIBE Jumper in the correct size we will send participants a code to redeem their rewards via the TRIBE website. In order to receive the code participants must remember to tick the box which says ‘Yes please, opt me in’ to emails from TRIBE Freedom Foundation. Make sure you let everyone know!

Will the ambassadors receive free TRIBE merch?
Yes, all event leaders with at least FIVE runners will receive a FREE TRIBE Tech Tee. Please enter your size as part of the Ambassador Info form.

What are the rewards on offer for Ambassadors?
If you get more than 20 people involved, we will send you a £75 TRIBE voucher. If you get more than 40 people involved, we will send you a £150 TRIBE voucher! The Ambassador with the biggest tribe will receive an epic prize bundle worth £250

The Event

Is there a maximum number of event participants per event?
No! We'd love you to rally all your friends, family, work colleagues, club members etc - the more the merrier! Just one point to note - we envisage these being relaxed private events for family, friends, colleagues and run clubs etc, rather than public events.

Inevitably there may be slower participants so do look after your whole tribe. The most important thing is that everyone gets to the finish line safe, happy and together for a team celebration!

N.B All participants take part in events at their own risk. Please ensure that runners follow the instructions of the event leaders and look out for your tribe. We go further and faster, together.

What’s the best way to share the photos from our event?
We would LOVE to see and share the photos from your events!! If you want us to repost and share your photos, make sure you tag @the_tribe_way @tribefreedomfoundation and use the hashtag #TRIBERun10KForLove.

Fundraising

Who are we fundraising for?
All the entry fees will be donated to the TRIBE Freedom Foundation. The charity that was established by the TRIBE community to help end modern slavery in the UK. TRIBE Freedom Foundation works by raising awareness of trafficking and supporting frontline projects to fight modern slavery. We empower the TRIBE community to create an impact.

How do I set up my JustGiving page?

How will the TRIBE community raise £250,000 for the TRIBE Freedom Foundation?
The TRIBE Run for Love 3 Team has already raise £150,000 to help set up two new homes for survivors. The more runners you can recruit the better! We also have loads of handy tips to help with setting up fundraising events - raffle, cake sale or quiz etc. NB. Min registration donation is £10 but people are encouraged to donate more!

Participant FAQs

How do I sign up for an event?
The TRIBE Run 10K For Love Ambassadors will direct you to their bespoke ‘Run 10K For Love’ JustGiving page. To register for your chosen event, simply make your registration donation (min £10) to your Ambassador’s JustGiving page.
To make sure that you receive your TRIBE rewards, you just need to tick the box which says ‘yes please, opt me in’ to emails from TRIBE Freedom Foundation. Otherwise, you won’t be able to claim your TRIBE Tee or TRIBE Jumper :)

What do I get as part of my TRIBE Run 10K For Love entry?
Your registration donation will enable us to continue our work to fight modern slavery across the UK! You will also receive:

  • TRIBE Run 10K For Love Event Entry + TRIBE Run for Love Shoe Tag
  • TRIBE nutrition - distributed by ambassadors on the day

How will I receive my TRIBE Rewards?
Once you’ve made your registration donation on JustGiving you’ll receive an email from us to confirm your entry for the TRIBE Run 10K For Love challenge and claim your rewards. Just make sure you’ve ticked the box which allows TRIBE Freedom Foundation to contact you by email!. All you need to do is follow the link in the email and choose your size. Once you’ve chosen your size you’ll need to enter your delivery address! Delivery (Royal Mail Tracked) is just £3.00 and will take 2-3 working days.

How will I receive my TRIBE bars?
On event day the TRIBE Run 10K For Love Ambassadors will be distributing TRIBE bars for everyone!

Who should I ask if I have a question about an event?
The TRIBE Run 10K For Love Ambassadors are the best people to contact if you have any questions about their event. They will have the most up to date news on any exact details, timings etc. If you can’t get through to them you can drop us an email at laragh@wearetribe.co

Who is responsible for the run?
All participants take part in events at their own risk. Please follow the instructions of the event leaders and look out for your tribe. We go further and faster, together.

How will the Ambassadors know that I am registered?
To make things easier for the Ambassadors it’s best to use your full name with your registration donation and also tick the box which says ‘I’m happy to share my contact details with …(your ambassador)’ so they can get in touch to confirm their event details.

Is there an event near me?
If you are keen to get involved but you don’t know anyone who is leading an event near you get in touch with laragh@wearetribe.co. We’d love to support you to set up your own event or we can help to link you up with other TRIBE Run 10K For Love events in your area.
