TRIBE Fresh Start Challenge: Ambassador Registration

The Challenge
This January, we’re looking for 100 TRIBE Ambassadors to rally their tribe (friends, family, colleagues!) and organise their own micro event as part of the TRIBE Fresh Start Challenge.

Our Goal: To increase awareness of modern slavery with +100 micro events across the UK and raise £10,000 to empower the survivors of modern slavery with safe accommodation and a fresh start at one of the TRIBE-funded survivor homes.

Do you have a route, a run, hike or a ride you've always wanted to share or a challenge you've been wanting to take on, but never found the time. Challenge yourself this January, rally your tribe and celebrate a fresh start for 2022.

Want to join the Ambassador team? This is how it works:

  • You rally your tribe to take on a run, walk, ride or adventure of your choice.

  • You decide the route, meeting point, date and logistics...

  • We create a 100% bespoke website for your event, check it out here to promote your challenge and rally your tribe.*

  • Friends, family and colleagues sign up to join your event by donating at least £25 to your TRIBE Fresh Start JustGiving Page and receive TRIBE rewards (TRIBE Tees, Beanies and Nutrition up for grabs!).

  • You'll receive an epic TRIBE Ambassador Pack and a unique discount code to share with your team so that they can claim their TRIBE rewards before the event!

  • Complete the challenge and share your photos on social. The Ambassador with the highest fundraising total will receive an INCREDIBLE prize bundle including:

  • ** £250 Montane kit voucher, £100 TRIBE voucher, one month’s supply of MOJU, full VAGA Race Apparel and DAYS Brewing Bundle **.

All events will raise funds for TRIBE Freedom Foundation to empower the survivors of modern slavery with safe accommodation and a fresh start. We're working with our frontline project partners at Ella's to support the opening of their third safe-house, providing a home for survivors to overcome their previous exploitation & rebuild their lives in freedom.

Logistics

Can I choose any date/time to lead the event?

All events should take place in January 2022, between 1st - 31st. Please register by December 20th to ensure that you’re set up in time for your event and you’ve received the code to claim your Ambassador Pack.

What should I think about when finding a location/meeting point for my event?

It’s good to think about finding an awesome place that is very accessible and potentially has a safe space to store bags/clothing! Alternatively, you might want to organise a virtual event - in which case the location may not matter.

How will I communicate the details of my event to the people joining me?

We will create a bespoke Event webpage for you like this. We also recommend setting up a Facebook event or WhatsApp group to help publicise your event. Plus, you should include all the key details for your event (inc time, meeting place, contact info) on your JustGiving page which is where people will make their registration donation to join the event. Registration

How do people sign up for my event?

Once you’ve decided on the details for your event you can encourage people to sign up via your bespoke event website and donate via your own JustGiving page. Here participants will make their registration donation to TRIBE Freedom Foundation.

How do I set up my JustGiving page?

It takes just five minutes maximum:

  1. Head to: https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/tribe-fresh-start-challenge
  2. Click the ‘Start fundraising’ button, Select ‘Organised Event’, Scroll down to ‘Add your own’, Add your event name and date etc. e.g. 'TRIBE Fresh Start Challenge: Thames Path 10K’
  3. Once the page is live, head to the ‘Edit your page’ tab to update the page details. You can edit the page photo, title, add your event page URL and any other copy to tailor it to your event! You can follow the template to update your event details as follows:

  4. Make sure you make it clear that people need to tick the box 'Yes please, opt me in' to emails from TRIBE Freedom Foundation so we can contact them to claim their TRIBE Tee race entry package!

What do participants receive for entering the TRIBE Fresh Start Challenge?

All participants will receive:

  • TRIBE Fresh Start Entry
  • TRIBE Nutrition package (including 6x TRIBE vegan nutrition products)
  • Classic TRIBE Beanie (£25 donation) or Classic TRIBE Tee and Beanie (£30) to be claimed online with the unique code from TRIBE.

How do I know who has signed up for my event?

It’s a good idea to keep track of who has signed up for your event so you can keep them updated with event details and any other updates!
You can find out the email addresses of everyone who has donated to your page here.

Just make sure to tell everyone to click the box which says ‘I’m happy to share my contact details with… (your ambassador)’ when they complete their registration donation on JustGiving.

How will I receive my TRIBE goodies for my event?

We’ll send you a unique ambassador code to claim your TRIBE Ambassador Pack via the TRIBE website, including a TRIBE Jumper, Beanie and Nutrition. This will be posted to the delivery address you provide when you place your order. Free delivery to the UK only.

How will participants receive their TRIBE Rewards?

To make sure that everyone receives their free TRIBE T-Shirt and/or Beanie in the correct size we will send participants a code to redeem their rewards via the TRIBE website. We will provide you ‘The Ambassador’ with a unique code you can share with each member of your team who participates. Delivery costs £3 for all UK addresses.

Will the ambassadors receive free TRIBE merch?

Yes, all event leaders with at least 5 participants will receive a free TRIBE Jumper, Beanie and Nutrition package.

What are the rewards on offer for Ambassadors?

The ambassador who fundraises the most this January will be sent a £100 TRIBE voucher, one month’s unlimited supply of MOJU, full VAGA Race Apparel, Salomon running belt, plus a £250 Montane kit voucher.

The Event

Is there a maximum number of event participants per event?

No. We would love you to rally as many people as possible to support the cause and join your challenge. You can also encourage people to join you virtually if they cannot travel to join the event in person but would like to complete the same challenge at the same time.

What’s the best way to share the photos from our event?

We would LOVE to see and share the photo from your events! If you want us to repost and share your photos, make sure you tag @the_tribe_way @tribefreedomdounation and use the hashtag #TRIBEFRESHSTART.
Fundraising

Who are we fundraising for?

All the entry fees will be donated to the TRIBE Freedom Foundation. The charity that was established by the TRIBE community to help end modern slavery in the UK. TRIBE Freedom Foundation works by raising awareness of trafficking and supporting frontline projects to fight modern slavery. We empower the TRIBE community to create an impact.

How do I sign up for an event?

The TRIBE Fresh Start Ambassadors will direct you to their bespoke ‘TRIBE Fresh Start Challenge’ JustGiving page. To register for your chosen event, simply make your registration donation (minimum £25) to your Ambassador’s JustGiving page.
To make sure that you receive your TRIBE rewards, you just need to tick the box which says ‘I’m happy to share my contact details with… (your ambassador)’. Otherwise, you won’t be able to claim your TRIBE T-Shirt and/or TRIBE Beanie.

What do I get as part of my TRIBE Fresh Start Challenge Entry?

Your registration donation will enable us to empower the survivors of modern slavery across the UK! You will also receive:

How will I receive my TRIBE Rewards?

Once you’ve made your registration donation on JustGiving you’ll receive an email from your TRIBE Fresh Start Ambassador to confirm your entry for the TRIBE Fresh Start Challenge and a unique code to claim your rewards. Just make sure you’ve ticked the box on the JustGiving checkout which allows them to contact you by email!

Then, all you need to do is follow the link in the email and choose your T-Shirt size and Beanie. Once you’ve chosen your size you’ll need to enter your delivery address. Delivery (Royal Mail Tracked) is just £3.00 and will take 2-3 working days.

Who should I ask if I have a question about an event?

The TRIBE Fresh Start Ambassadors are the best people to contact if you have any questions about their event. They will have the most up to date news on any exact details, timings etc. If you can’t get through to them you can drop us an email julia@wearetribe.co

Who is responsible for the run?

All participants take part in events at their own risk. Please follow the instructions of the event leaders and look out for your tribe. We go further and faster, together.

How will the Ambassadors know that I am registered?

To make things easier for the Ambassadors it’s best to use your full name with your registration donation and also tick the box which says ‘I’m happy to share my contact details with… (your ambassador)’ so they can get in touch to confirm their event details.

Is there an event near me?

If you are keen to get involved but you don’t know anyone who is leading an event near you get in touch with julia@wearetribe.co. We’d love to support you to set up your own event or we can help to link you up with other TRIBE Fresh Start events in your area.
