Fig, Almond, Ginger and Cacao Balls

These delicious fig energy balls are a great pre training snack. To boost energy levels it’s good to eat 30/40 mins before a longer training run for maximum performance.

Ingredients: (Serves 10)

4 Figs
1cup Almond Meal, plus 1tbsp for coating
1tbsp Flax Seed
1tbsp Cacao Nibs, plus 1tbsp for coating
½ tsp Ginger Powder


Blend together the figs until smooth.
Then add the almond meal, flax seed, cacao nibs and ginger. Blend until think dough/paste forms. Scrape this into a small bowl and place in the fridge to firm up.
Remove from fridge and roll into 10 balls.
Scatter 1tbsp almond meal and 1tbsp cacao nibs onto a plate and roll the balls through to evenly coat them.
Return to the fridge for a bit and then snack away!
