Baobab is a nutritional powerhouse; it is great for boosting energy and full of vitamin C and potassium. It is also amazingly hydrating so this can be a great smoothie for after a workout too.
Ingredients: (serves 2)
1 frozen banana
2 big handfuls of spinach – washed
1 handful oats
1 sachet of baobab
1 tbs coconut oil (optional)
2 cups (400ml) coconut water (you could also use any other dairy free alternative)
Put everything into a high-speed blender and blend. You can top with fresh fruit, nuts, seeds, and/or granola… Enjoy.
Tip – when your bananas are going brown and you think its time to chuck them away, peel them and chop into small bite size chunks and freeze them in a freezer bag. They are perfect to throw into a smoothie and they also make it extra creamy!
